Textbook/Novel Scanning Request for Spec Ed
To install a printer on your board laptop:
Click the start button > Select
Devices and Printers >click
Add Printer > Select
Add Network Printer > Select
The printer that I want isn't listed > in the Select a shared printer by name box type
\\printserv01.smcdsb.ads\p and a list of all PET printers will appear in the dropdown box. Select the printer you want and click
Next. You will get a message when it is successfully installed. Decide if you want it to be your default. Print a test page. Then you are ready to go.
To install software applications on your board laptop:
In the system tray at the bottom right of your desktop is an icon called
New software is available or Open
Software Centre (click your start button and in the search field and type Software Center). A dialogue box will open. All available software is listed - or you can search. Click the
Install button and follow the Install instructions.

Login Problems?
If you have changed your password recently on your board laptop, but did not disconnect from the BYOD board wifi on your other devices (cell phone, ipad) each time you try to login on your school laptop at school it will lock you out for a period of time. To fix this, just go to the wifi settings on your other device and "forget" the board wifi. Then reconnect to the board wifi on your device with your new password. This should fix your login problem.
