We are here to help you plan for the future. It is important to research and gather information so that you are able to make informed decisions while in high school. Below you will find links to various web sites that provide great information about jobs, apprenticeships, college and university.

If you are interested in an apprenticeship or finding the job right after high school, then you may want to check out some of these resourceful web sites. 
National Job Bank

This is the official national job bank to help you find employment (while you are in school or after you graduate) anywhere in Canada.
Apprenticeships and Skilled Trades

This Ministry of Education site will give you valuable information about apprenticeship training, careers in skilled trades, and the high school courses that can provide you with the basic education essential to become a skilled worker.
Youth Canada

Visit the Government of Canada’s youth web site for information about programs and services available for youth at the community level and beyond.
Career Gateway

The Ministry of Education's Career Gateway will provide you with a starting point to explore many on-line career and employment related resources.

This is a great site – it is Ontario’s largest network of work related resources. It will provide you with a portal to job opportunities, career, occupational, learning and labour market information.
Canadian Armed Services

You will find more than 100 job choices in the Canadian military – from dental technician to information technology specialist to infantry soldier to engineer. You can check out this site learn a lot about them and may discover even more about yourself.
Human Resources Development Canada

This Government of Canada web site offers information about the wide variety of programs and services this department provides in more than 320 offices across the country.

Association of Canadian Community Colleges

The Association of Canadian Community Colleges is the national, voluntary membership organization created to represent colleges and institutes to government, business and industry, both in Canada and internationally.
Ontario Universities

For students interested in attending an Ontario university, this Ministry of Education link provides all of the postal and web site addresses.
Student Awards

This site provides a free scholarship search service devoted to helping senior high school, university and college students find information on scholarships, bursaries, grants and other forms of financial assistance.
Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

OSAP’s objective is to help students from lower-income families meet the costs of post secondary education. OSAP is intended to promote equality of opportunity for post secondary studies by providing financial assistance for educational costs and basic living expenses.
School Finder

This site will help you find information on more than 700 Canadian universities, colleges and career colleges. It includes information on admission requirements, costs, programs and contact details.

Ontario Universities' Application Centre
This site provides all of the necessary information to apply to an Ontario university.
