The St. Peter's Catholic Secondary School Student Senator for 2016-17 is Leah Mullins
The Student Senate
We value what our students have to say about their education and their
school experience. Our Board has a Student Senate with student
representatives from each of our nine secondary schools. This group of
students meet several times during the school year with our
Superintendent of Secondary Schools and the Student Trustee. At these
meetings they learn from each other, discuss the role of the Student
Senate and other issues of importance to students, as well as learn from
key guest speakers.
The Student Senate is also responsible for selecting one secondary
student to become the Student Trustee who represents the interests of
students and gives them a meaningful voice at our Board meetings. The
Student Trustee is responsible for ensuring that the students in our
schools are well represented at the Board of Trustee meetings.
